90s Pop Songs Spinning Routine to Get You Feeling Emotions

90s Pop Spinning Workout Playlist and Routine

If you’re building a spin routine made up of 90s workout songs, you’re likely going to turn to pop songs. There are so many truly iconic 90s pop songs to include, and are great options when you want to surprise and delight your riders with a sing-a-long. I’ve got all the classics in this spin routine and playlist: Britney Spears, Hanson, Christina Aguilera, Janet Jackson, Backstreet Boys, and more.

Enjoy!

Reminder: I like to teach my spinning classes in a series of exercises that we do 2-4 times through. I pick a couple exercises to make up the series, and we stick to it throughout the class. That way, participants know what to expect, so they can go big when they’re supposed to and not hold back for fear of another interval around the corner.

The Series (50-minute Workout)

  • Song 1: Climb 1; Finish w/ 30 Breathless. Start at flat road resistance and a moderate intensity. Add resistance throughout the song until you find hard intensity. Finish with a 30-second breathless interval.
  • Song 2: Climb 2; Finish w/ 45 Breathless. Maintain resistance from prior song. Continue to add, switching in and out of the saddle to maintain a hard (or moderate) intensity. Finish with a 45-second breathless interval out of the saddle.
  • Song 3: Climb 3; Finish w/ 60 Breathless. Maintain resistance from prior song. Encourage as much out of the saddle as you can comfortably handle. Continue to add resistance and finish with 60-seconds of breathless at the end.
  • Song 4: Surprise Sprints!
