Country is hands down the most underrated genre for 90s workout songs! Seriously. This 90s country indoor cycling workout playlist has some of the best songs for all your fast cardio needs: running, indoor cycling, sprints, HIIT, etc. And, if you’re a big country fan (or want to be), check out my list of best country workout songs.
Enjoy!
Reminder: I like to teach my cycling classes in a series of exercises that we do 2-4 times through. I pick a couple exercises to make up the series, and we stick to it throughout the class. That way, participants know what to expect, so they can go big when they’re supposed to and not hold back for fear of another interval around the corner.
The Series (50-minute Workout)
- Song 1: Hard @ chorus (resistance). Find a moderate intensity marching to the beat. At the chorus, maintain the RPM / speed, and add resistance to find hard intensity.
- Song 2: Breathless @ chorus (speed). Find a moderate intensity marching to the beat. At the chorus, find breathless by increasing the RPM / speed.
- Song 3: Climb. Increase resistance from moderate to hard, maintain the same RPM / speed. (Keep the resistance into the next song.)
- Song 4: 30/30 breathless sprints with a heavy resistance.
